Job Description
Title: Senior Financial Analyst in Kirkland, WA
 
Opportunity to join dynamic work environment with one of Washington's best. We are a private Washington-based hospitality organization and we are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our Finance team reporting the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager.
 
Under the supervision and direction of the FP&A Manager:
Creates Executive Dashboards, Business Scorecards, scenario analyses, budgets, long-range forecast, strategic plan and financial reports.
Performs financial and statistical analysis of data – the latter focused on driving value through decision-support and predictive analytics. Will also be responsible for working with various sources of data, evolving the Finance
Datamart and developing and leveraging Business Intelligence tools to help transform data into meaningful information.
Prepares the annual budget working with Directors and Managers to understand financial operations and translate this understanding to operating budgets. 
Creates budget and financial reports using financial reporting tools for efficient and accurate reports. 
Performs regular account analysis to identify and correct miscoded or inaccurate postings.
Works closely with Controller to coordinate report production according to demanding accounting calendar. 
Provides general accounting support in assuring important accounting deadlines are met.
Provides ad hoc analysis and reporting as requested. Produces reports and presentations and presents findings to management as well as other general business support duties.
 
Education: 
Undergrad Degree in Finance or Accounting.  CFA, MBA, or CPA required
 
Experience: 
7 plus years related financial experience required.  Additional education may be substituted for some experience. 
Access and relational database experience required. 
Valuations and analytics experience for decision support required.  Experience in strategic planning and has had a lead in the planning process. 
Experience with developing and automating business intelligence, executive dashboards, and front-end views of data required. 
Excellent Microsoft Office products skills required.  Good cross group collaboration skills required.
 
Knowledge of: 
General accounting principles and practices, payroll practices, and general office procedures and equipment. 
Technical proficiency in the use of software applications, databases, electronic spreadsheets, graphical software, and word processing required. 
 
Responsibility for: 
Dealing with confidential matters; moderate responsibility for the care, condition, and use of materials and tools.

Essential Duties

  • Assistance in support of staff of Salespeople by performing tasks as directed.
  • Preparation and collation of client proposals, media kits, maps and other sales materials.
  • Maintain departmental records, schedules, and client meetings.
  • Speaking daily with customers to ensure that their questions are answered and their campaign requirements fulfilled in a timely manner.
