Hello Foster Parents,
We have A LOT of dogs at the shelter currently and desperately need kennel space. We would like to send the dogs that have been at the shelter for longer period of time for a kennel break. All these dogs can go to foster for 2 weeks, more or less if you’d like, we just really need your help!
*A note about dogs restrictions that you see: EX. Rufus can go to a home with kids 6+, only dog, cat free home. If it says “kids 6+” that means a foster home with kids older then 6 years old; if it says “cat free home” that means no cats. If it says “dog-savvy cat” that means they may be too much for cats that are really submissive. If it says “only dog” they aren’t good with other dogs and need to be kept away from other dogs.*
Please email me before you come to the shelter if you would like to foster a dog. If you come to the shelter I may be in orientations or meetings and won’t be able to meet with you at that time. If you give me a heads up then I can make sure I schedule time to meet with you, get the dog ready and get supplies.
- Penny (don’t have a picture) is 10 year old Min Pin mix. She can go to a foster home with kids, dogs and cats.
- Jackson (don’t have a picture) is a 9 year old JRT. He can go to foster with kids, dogs and cats. Jackson is blind and needs eye meds; he is very sweet and potty trained.
3. Waldo: 8 year old Hound mix. He can go to a foster home with kids. He has to be only dog and cat free home. Waldo is a mellow boy and very sweet.
4. Bruno: 5 year old Lab mix. Foster can be kids 12+, dogs, cat free home.
5. Calvin: 1 year old Pit mix. Foster can be kids, cats and dogs.
6. Mandy: 4 year old Lab mix. Foster can have kids, no other dogs and cat free home.
7. Freckles: 9 year old Blue Tick Hound Mix. Foster can have kids 6+, dogs and cats.
8. Ryder: 10 month old Border collie mix. Foster can have kids 16+, only dog, cat free home.
*If you are available to foster a dog please email ASAP and we can set up a time for you to pick them up. When you email saying you can foster a dog please let me know supplies you would need and what date/time you would like to pick them up.*
