Hello Foster Parents,

We are still really full and need foster care for space and 1 dog that needs medical foster.

Medical Foster

Molly she is 7 years old Australian Cattle Dog mix. She needs foster for TPLO surgery (knee surgery) she will be on an exercise restriction meaning only leash walks to go potty outside. She can not go on walks, jumping off couches, or go down stairs. When unattended she needs to be crated and when supervised confined in a small area. I can give you more details or answer questions if you want to foster her. It may sound scary but it is an easier foster.

Foster length: 4-6 weeks depending on recovery. She can go to a foster home with kids, dogs and dog savvy cats.

Kennel Break Fosters: Listed by Priority

For these dogs you can foster them for 2 weeks or longer. Even if you can foster a dog for 1 week just let me know, we could really use the help.

Max: 8 year old German shepherd mix.  Good with kids 6+, dogs, dog savvy cats. (Good with cats that are good with dogs and not afraid of them). No picture.

Charlie: 6 year old Malamute mix. Good with kids 6+, dogs (mellower dogs), has a history of living with cats but we haven’t done a cat test, if you have a cat let me know and I can see how he does. No Picture.

Waldo: 8 year old Hound mix. Good with kids, only dog, cat free home

Ryder: 11 month old Border Collie mix: Adult only home, only dog, cat free home

Bruno 5 year old Lab mix. Good with kids 12+, dogs, cat free home

Mulder 6 year old Lab mix. Good with kids 14+, dogs and cat free home.

.

Poncho 1 year old Pit/Cattle dog mix. Good with kids, dogs.  We can do a cat test if needed, he hasn’t had one. He is a sweetheart!

Keiko 1 year old Akita mix. He is good with kids 6+, dog intro req, cat free home. He is a really goofy boy and lots of fun.

Walter 8 year old Lab mix. Good with kids 16+, dogs, cat free home

Duke: 8 months Aussie/Pit mix. Good with kids, dogs, dog savvy cats.

Kahne (The picture doesn’t do him justice) 2 year old Malamute mix. Good with kids 8+, dogs, no cat test done (we can test him if needed)

Dakota 4 year old Beagle mix. He is good with kids 6+, dogs and cats.

Greyson 1 year old Cattle dog mix. He is good with kids, dogs, no cat test done.

Blair : 4 year old Spaniel mix. She is good with kids 6+, dogs and cats.

Penelope & Star:  2 month old Pit/Shepherd mixes. Good with kids, dogs and cats.

Just a reminder about the restrictions: If it says “kids 6+” it means a foster home with kids older then 6 years old. If it says “no cat test done” and you have a cat then request I do a cat test before fostering that dog. If it says “cat free home” then the dog isn’t good with cats. If it says “dog savvy cat” that means they are good with cats that will stick up for themselves and aren’t going to run or be scared. *Please follow the restrictions on the dogs it is for your animals and families safety, please ask me if you have any questions*

I would recommend with some of the bigger dogs to bring your dog to the shelter to meet with them before fostering OR if you can’t bring your dogs to the shelter then make sure they greet off your property on a walk. If you’re fostering a dog and your resident animals aren’t getting along let me know and we can arrange a time for you to bring the dog back to the shelter.

Please feel free to ask me if you have any questions about the dogs,

I look forward to hearing from you,
