Your standard issue dummycrat voter caught on videotape at the "peace"
rally in Portland last week.

Check out what they're chanting as they burn the American GI and the
American flag in effigy.

And they get their panties all in a twist when people question their
patriotism. What a hoot!

You missed on that call.
A NeoUberLib is a opportunistic hippie type who thinks the laws should
be amended to allow them to do just about anything they want to,
including free medical grade marijuana and a government bong to smoke it in.

They oppose war because they don't want to get caught up in the
impending draft call up and the funds used take away from their
birth right entitlements and the government owes them free health care
and subsidized housing with grounds keeper and public transit at the
door for use with their welfare chits. A good number of them are on
disability of one kind or another and don't work at all.

They are against the industrial complex because they have been taught
that it is corrupt and pollutes the creek they drink out of and don't
understand business in the first place but can grow weed in the closet
no problem.

They use filthy language in public and defaecate in public as well. They
have no regard for anything other than themselves and no respect for
government or country. They burn flags to irritate others but I
personally don't car but try to burn my flag is
not advisable.

Well, given that anarchist are most closely tied to Libertarians who are
most closely tied to Republicans the connection actually is there.

In which country? Hell, I think that anyone who hangs a US flag on their car
until it is tattered and dirty should be locked up. The flag deserves respect.
You have a problem with the leaders? Lock them up, but burning the flag is
definitely NOT an act of patriotism.

I agree and love your patriotism but a tattered flag isn't a desecration
and when timely should be retired. A tattered flag is better than no flag.

Rebellious flag burners play with fire in more ways than one.

When the RightWingnuts run out of cogent discourse, they invent some
new words, and those means whatever the RWN types say they mean.

They believe this is Clever.

Yeah right, as if.

True anarchists *love* war, because war brings chaos, hence opportunity.
That's not what's going on here.

If they are "hate Bush" anti-war activists, which they clearly are, then,
yeppers, they are standard issue dummycrats. Like cough man, cor, hitler,
shatzie, homo-uth, et al. The usual suspects. They aren't getting a free
pass to opt out of the class that they've been owning for the last three
years. So sorry, but no dice.

You are an idiot. See if you can't get your whole neighborhood to burn
American flags on the July 4th to show their patriotism.

I remember the boyscout manual had rules for the proper treatment of
the American flag.

Something bothers me about the movie "Hoosiers". Every gymnasium had
an American flag hung vertically. However, they all were hung
backwards with stars in the upper right, instead of upper left. Was
this correct in the 50's?

Derived from the US Flag Code, which is not Law but more a set of
recommendations.

Murkens tend, by and large, to ignore it.

In my whole neighborhood several years ago, a local realtor put up
something like a thousand of those cheap plastic flags, but had a
brokerage card attached to the staff.

That is a Direct contravention of the US Flag Code.

Some folks were just Thrilled to see blocks of flags on the boulevards
the ayem of 7/4. What they weren't aware of is that None of the
property owners was ever asked if the folks who came around in the
dark of night could emplace them there.

The folks who were Thrilled discussed Patriotism.

It was nothing of the sort. It was commercialism, pure and simple,
and the US Flag Code forbids it explicitly.

Had a nice little set-to with the local Realtors about it, until they
backed down and promised not to do it again. However, those little
kits are still for sale and are promoted on various flag dealer and
realtor websites here and there. You can find them easily enough.

I understand the guy who owns the realty shoppe is still fromaged at
me for making a fuss about it.

Good, sez I.

How can anarchy and democracy be rationally considered "congruous"?

Anarchy, "absense of government", is more idiologically aligned with
conservative or libertarian government. If "anarchists" are in any way
"congruous" with Democrats, perhaps it's because they see that the
Republican party's so-called "conservative" platform is utter bullshit.

Sort of like imaging a conservative raising taxes, spending excessively,
increasing government interference in public and private matters and
attempting to dictate morality...

Democracy only showed up a couple of thousand years ago - to
