Job Description :
Primary focus of the position is proactive managementof logical and physical database
components for ourClient's Ecommerce systems. This person willparticipate in
developing and administering bestpractices necessary to meet business critical
24x7availability requirements. The role will initially bea mid-level administrator,
with an opportunity toincrease responsibilities as skills and capabilitiesare
demonstrated. The position requires: seriousattention to detail; solid problem
solvingcapabilities; refined analytical skills; working inboth group and individual
settings; keeping pace in afast moving environment; and the motivation toundertake
varied and challenging assignments.Candidates with 3+ years administering
large (multiterabyte) Oracle databases on clustered Sun/Solarisplatforms in a
dynamic data center environment within-depth knowledge of Veritas/UNIX/LINUX, I/O
andhighly available system designs preferred.
