Position Description:
Responsible for defining the system architecture: Layer1/2/3, from concept to product. (broadband modem, IP network, with low cost); developing deployment strategies that consider issues associated with cell siting, antenna arrays, terrain affects, power requirements, and safety.
Qualifications:
***In-depth understanding of mobile standards, W-CDMA Release 1999/2000 including physical and data link layers, as well as network architecture and interfaces, RAN and RNC.
**Past experience of product development for mobile systems, especially W-CDMA.
**Strong background in wireless communications: radio-frequency transmission, capacity, coverage, cell planning, hand over, and resource management.
**Having clear idea of evolving concepts to hardware/software prototypes, to products.
**Experience with system and algorithm simulation and simulation environments (MATLAB) are also desirable ·
**ASIC development experience highly valuable.
