POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Developer is responsible for all aspects of the software development
cycle, from prototype to delivered product. Target operating system is
NT 4, utilizing MS Site Server, Commerce Edition, MS SQL 6.5 and SQL
7.0, and all apsects of front-end Internet development.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Ideal candidate will absolutely desire a dynamic, creative,
ever-changing, intense, collaborative, and fun working environment.
* Primary responsibility is to develop and maintain commerce sites.
* Fundamental knowledge of e-commerce systems, and related business
skills are key to the success of this position.
* Developer works with producers and designers to create working
prototypes from storyboards that demonstrate functionality of proposed
projects and test for usability and feasibility.
* Selects the most appropriate authoring tools, program architecture,
production processes and additional technical resources required to
deliver the product.
* Has a fundamental understanding of the Development Process, and has
had experience in writing functional and technical specifications.
* Writes and/or coordinates the necessary programming to implement the
product.
* Establishes and manages the testing process to ensure that content,
performance and usability goals for the product are realized.
* Assumes the responsibility for the production cycle from
implementation to testing.
* Works with Developers in a team and mentoring manner, providing
guidance in development disciplines.
* Works with producers and assistant producers to ensure development
milestone definitions and software development are managed correctly to
ensure timely completion of product components on schedule and budget.
* This position has frequent contact with all levels of the customer
Corporation managers, employees, vendors and customers.
* Very good communication, training, planning and time management skills

people.

LOCATION = Greater Seattle/Bellevue Area
POSITION TYPE = Either Contract or Permanent

SKILLS REQUIRED:
* Minimum of three years experience in development of commercial
Internet websites and related multimedia products, with at least 1 year
e-commerce experience.
* Experience developing for Windows NT, and using version control
systems (SourceSafe, VSS).
* Fluency in at least three of the following: ASP, ADO to SQL, IIS 4, MS
Site Server, Commerce Edition, "C", C++, or Visual C++.
* Working knowledge of Internet and Network Security, XML, Dynamic HTML
(DHTML), Visual Basic, HTML, Macromedia Director, Javascript, VBscript,
preferred. Excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills.
* Minimum of 6 years of other coding experience.
* Complete understanding of and experience with all phases of software
development life cycle / methodology.
* Production / high volume development experience required.
* Knowledge of distributed systems programming.
* Demonstrated ability to perform well and deliver results in a large
team environment.
* Motivate, self-starter, self-directed. Strong oral and written
communication skills.
* Detail oriented and fast learner. Excellent interpersonal skills
required.
* Familiarity with source code version control concepts.
EDUCATION: BS degree in CS or related field preferred.
