Rapid growing software development organization located in Bellevue WA
is looking for a full time Technical Writer II. Client is pre IPO with
successful track record of product development. Stock options will be
available. The Technical Writer II position is responsible for
creating, editing, and maintaining paper and online documentation for
one or more of the companies software products and internal processes.
The Technical Writer II will be working on a product team that
includes a product operations director, project manager, developers,
QA engineers, content analysts, data analysts, and technical support
representatives. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree in Technical
Writing, English, Business, or related field and at least 2 years of
experience as a technical writer. Knowledge of latest Microsoft
operating systems required. Proficiency in Adobe FrameMaker and MS
Word required. Experience with Adobe Acrobat PDF creation, Winhelp, or
other online documentation tools preferred. Excellent organization,
planning, problem solving, and communication skills required. Ability
to work on multiple projects with shifting priorities and tight
deadline schedules required. Must be able to interact with product
team throughout product life-cycle development. Ability to write in
precise, standard English and recognize and correct errors in logic,
usage, syntax, and punctuation required. Must be able to present
technical information in a format that is visually appealing, while
accomplishing its communicative goal. Ability to conceptualize, plan,
develop, and write technical documentation under limited supervision.
Should have writing samples available upon request.
