First, it's from Faux News - so hardly a credible source. Second, how can
a university legitimize something that occurs naturally in nature? Sounds
like just another right wing ChristoNazi rant.

Ironically, he didn't ask you to believe anything, but he still
managed to elicit some telling information. Maybe he was just
"asking" us to hear it.

It might hurt a little at first, but you really should try to
learn to absorb information before damning it.

Teaching gay men that they don't have to live according to a stereotype
is 'left wing lunacy?' I thought the right wing was supposed to be all
about individualism and personal liberty, even unto the realm of
transcending social stereotypes...

"
"It does not teach students to be homosexual," Halperin told The
Washington Times. "Rather, it examines critically the odd notion that
there are right and wrong ways to be gay, that homosexuality is not just
a sexual practice or desire but a set of specific tastes in music,
movies and other cultural forms - a notion which is shared by straight
and gay people alike."
"

I realize this sort of information might shatter *your*
carefully-constructed stereotypes, and that this might make it
threatening to *you,* but that doesn't make it a liberal conspiracy or
anything.

No. It is, apparently, a course that deconstructs gay stereotypes in
society. The antidote to 'Queer Eye For The Straight Guy.'

Halperin is " THE " expert on queers or whatever the nomenclature in vogue.
He makes a living writing books about it.

I figure none of the local lefties here have spent one dime on his books and don't intend to either because it's unnecessary reading unless you need an easy credit and are into deviated crotch mechanics.
For a college course it's filler material the tax payers support.
A course in astronomy or navigation would be much more wholesome and actually teach something applicable to the public in general.

Do you believe any elected representative who wasn't born in the state in
which they serve is suspect, or is this opinion reserved solely for those
you don't agree with policitically?

I'm guessing it's the latter, but feel free to maintain some degree of
consistency.

I can't speak for Smitty, but it's establishing a residence in quick
order in a state that has no other attraction than a vacant senator's
spot.

Didn't some guy named Cheney also perform a quick paperwork-shift
residence change so he could run for the office of Vice-president with a
presidential candidate who was also a Texas resident?

This I believe is true. The difference is Cheney has a considerable
history in Wyoming including property. Hillary couldn't match that
even if she took her carpet-bagging act to Illinois.

Your implication seems to be there's something wrong with being elected to
public office in a state where one is not a native. Now if that's not what
you're implying, what *case* are you resting?

No, but you seem to be having your usual trouble saying something honestly
or intellectually. But surprise there, huh?

Nice try, Smitty. Silly me for thinking you could possibly possess a
remotely reasonable POV.
