What download speed should I be able to get from an ISP in Seattle? I don't
think cable is an option because I have no outlets in this room.
What DSL/ISP would you picvk min Seattle? Just for home stuff and a lot of
Internet surfing.
My IP address begins with "216" I'm told that means I'm in Washington
State? Does it?
Thanks
I did come across an IP address in Chile that started with 216.
However how many IP addresses does Seattle have per square mile on the
average?

Verizon FiOS is available in some locations around town. Performance-wise
it's great.

I don't know much about speedtest.net but here are my results.
http://www.speedtest.net/result/277128258.png
I got 231kbps high down and 140 kbps high up. I am supposed to have 256
up and 256 down. I have drizzle.com for ISP and Qwest for backbone. I
pay drizzle a year in advance and get a discount. I like having both as
they fight each other when something goes haywire and we get on a three
way call at no expense to me. *smile* Not many problems over the years.
Once a year Qwest has static on the line and I call and they fix it.
Once every two years Drizzle changes something and DSL is down for a day
or two.
I tried speedtest.com a second time and got 239 kbps high down and 137
high up. So I will email drizzle my results and see what they say.
