My daughter is on the South Beach diet. She's on the second phase so she
can eat a serving of grains. But they need to be whole grains. Like brown
rice and whole wheat. She does have food intolerances so for her a multi
grain roll is off limits. She can't have flax or rye. Also this diet does
allow a sweet potato but not a white potato. Dining out is getting kind of
tough. Are there any restaurants that serve such foods in the Seattle area?
I have heard that some Chinese places serve brown rice. Not sure I have
seen that in this area, but... Am afraid that most of the dishes they serve
would contain sugar and she can't have that either.
We've been mainly going to Mexican places. She can have the beans and some
do have whole wheat tortillas.
