Interested in seeing Sherlock Holmes? (a la SteamPunk?!)
We're planning to see it at Cinebarre, Mount Lake Terrace ( http://cinebarre.com/
). The movie opens Dec. 16, but the December schedule isn't up for
Cinebarre yet so can't set a precise date/time (we're thinking
Saturday to give everyone a chance to get home and dress).
Suggestions?
>Cinebarre, if you haven't been, is over 21 (except Tuesdays) and serves Drinks and Pub-Food<

Bring lots of cash. Cinebarre is not a cheap theatre. The food is moderately priced and palatable. The cocktails are good and they use top shelf rocket fuel. For you margarita fans, they serve 2 different flavours straight from a squishee machine.

I thought it was a brilliant idea when we came up with it! I will be
there with spats on!

As shall I!  Anyone interested in getting together to see the first movie before hand?

If it's that evening, I'd potentially be interested.

This sounds awesome. How much, approximately, does it cost to get in?

Here is the web address to the Cinebarre Menu at MountLake Terrace ->
http://cinebarre.com/locations/seattle-wa/menu
Ticket prices are $10-$12, depending on show time.
Drinks range from $4- $11, most at about$6. Food varies  , to
give you an idea: appetizers $6-$9, burgers $8-$10, pizza $12-$13.

Seeing the 1st Sherlock Holmes before=> PRICELESS!
...LOL, sounds good to us!
We're interested.

I can give a tentative sounding maybe about going, depending on
finances at the time. But it sounds great!!! And a get-together to see
the first one beforehand is made of awesome!

Bump! Just over a week to Sherlock Holmes!
One of the original group has a conflict on Saturday night, looking
more like Sunday the 18th for us now (or a double assault on the
theatre, lol).

Sunday definitely works better for me, given that I have tickets to a concert on Saturday. (Medieval Women's Choir -- a fantastic group!)

Turns out Steven doesn't have to work on Sunday after all, so we're
looking good on that from my end! Also, Winnie! I'm going to the LARP
tomorrow (Sat. the 10th), so we can get together either after that, or
on Sunday (the 11th). Just let me know what's good for you!

Hello, all!

I'm a bit confused as to what day we are planning to see the new
Sherlock Holmes flick .
My vote would be for Friday night, since there are so many other
things going on later that weekend.
Also, are we sure that it will be playing at Cinebarre?

It's convoluted enough ;) that it may be something that needs to be
discussed at the meet-ups this week (or e-mail)
We (DeWyks) are open any of those nights, but will go the night that
works best for the group we discussed it with first... right now that
seems to be next Sunday at Cinebarre. I'll send an e-mail out tonight
to that group to check on date/time/place and hopefully have firm info
tomorrow.

I hope all of us can go together, but scehdules at this time of the
year can be a pain to juggle...

.

OK, the Air Krakens Guild (AKG) have sorted out the schedule that
works for all of them, anyone wanting to join us is very welcome!
We will be going Sunday evening (7PM showing), and due to ID
complications have chosen to go to Alderwood 7 instead of Cinebarre.
(i don't know the layout well enough to say exactly where, but we'll
be there about 6:30-6:40)
We're planning to meet at Winnie's before, please contact one of the
AKGs (e.g. Winnie) if you're interested in that...

.
We're all getting steamed up for this!
.

Why not Cinebarre? What ID concerns?

Because it is a bar you need an ID to get into the Cinebarre. One of the Air Krakens needs to get a replacement ID. We would all very much like for her to be in attendance so we decided (without a moments hesitation) to change the venue to make sure she could. Not to worry once her new ID is in hand I am sure we will be doing many future movies at the Cinebarre ...just not this one.

Note: As a consolation, for those who might be disappointed by this venue change, I have it on good authority that the Alderwood 7 has first-rate popped corn... I believe they make it with one of those new steam powered corn expansion machines.

Consider this notice that I would like info from Winnie, but I don't have her address immediately available. Help please? You can email me offlist.

Thanks!
