I recently got this email for an amazing opportunity for us to share steampunk with a special group of people, and if you're all interested, I'd like to start gathering ideas! Any thoughts?

Hello,

I am the Director of Camp Promise-West, a free camp for kids, teens, and adults with muscular dystrophy and neuromuscular diseases. We like to go all out for our camp theme days and dances and this year, we've decided to have a Steampunk-themed dance.

I'm writing with a few hopes:

- You could help gather a group of Steamrats to help our campers steampunk their wheelchairs in preparation for the dance

- You might have some décor we could borrow for our dance

- You might have ideas of entertainers, makers, etc we could reach out to

- You'll have your own ideas of how you could get involved

Is this something you'd be interested in?

Camp runs from August 24-29 in Vaughn, WA (just past Gig Harbor) and our Steampunk Dance will be the evening of Wednesday, August 26.

Our dances are a big deal for our campers and I hope you'll help us make this the coolest dance we've had. Here's a link to some past theme dances (including Viking, Monster Mash, and a Bug Dance). Attached is a brochure with more about camp as well.
