Greetings!

If you are seeing this email you are confirmed as a participant in VCF PNW 2026.  Thank you for joining us, we're going to have a great time.  And we still have some time to prepare!

For everybody:

For exhibitors:

I'm probably being overly paranoid here but I'm concerned about the amount of power in the room.  We don't know how many circuits serve the room:
  • Please bring a UPS if you have sensitive equipment.  A UPS will help prevent problems in case we trip a circuit breaker.
  • If you can please bring a high quality 10 or 12 gauge extension cord.  Nobody should be more than 30 feet away from an outlet, but thicker cords cause less problems.
  • For the larger exhibits: Please consider designing your exhibit to reduce your power usage:
    • CRT displays are lovely, but consider using modern LCD flat panels for secondary monitors and devices.
    • Be flexible and design your exhibit so that if we need to power off some devices in the room it won't have a large impact to you.  (Displays with multiple terminals or CRTs are more able to do this.)

We'll be starting to advertise the event soon, so be prepared to help us spread the word.  As always, feel free to ping me for questions or to remind me of something I might be missing.

Thanks,
Mike

Hi Everybody,

This is slightly embarrassing ... Please ignore this unless you are actually participating at VCF PNW 2026 and you were on the BCC line.  I accidently emailed the Google Group instead of Gordon, who will be representing the group.

Thanks,
Mike
