Hi everyone.

I have a DEC Micro PDP-11/73 and a variety of PDP-11 cards that is looking for a new home.  I've completed most of the chassis (originally, it was stripped of nearly all of the panels).  It does not have an outer shell, but it has a modified front panel - with some rails, it can be mounted into a chassis.

I've gone as far as I can in trying to make this system fully running, and I no longer have the room to store the system.  I'm hoping someone in the group, with better DEC experience than I, can give it a good home and a chance to run again, or to use as parts for their existing system.

The unit has a CPU and 1MB memory card.  The system powers up and boots into a system menu (the machine has no controller card or MFM drive, but it has a sliding tray to mount a drive).  The board reports an issue with the 60Hz clock.  There is also a TK50 tape drive labeled as 'Drive fails self test).  It might need cleaning.

I also have the following that will be included with the unit:

  • DEC CPU card - Micro PDP-11/23+ (works when I tried it).
  • ASYNC MUX card - ports installed in case.  State unknown.
  • DILOG DQ696-20 MFM controller card.  State unknown.
  • 2 1-Mb memory cards.  Both work and configured to provide 2Mb RAM total.
  • Assorted ribbon cables for tape, MFM drive and connecting an RX03 controller to internal distribution board for connecting drives to system.
  • A 3M Compact Tape that should be compatible with the drive.
  • Some printed/bounded manuals for the system, plus both CPU cards.

If anyone is interested, I will be bringing the whole package up to the SRCS meeting this Saturday (October 28th).

Have a great week (what's left of it) and hope to see many of you at the meeting.

Clay.

Glen Slick was kind enough to offer a home for the Micro PDP-11.

Hope to see many of you at the meeting on Saturday!

Clay.
