Hi everyone. I have been away from SRCS for family events. With the August meeting coming up for the 5th Saturday, I’m finally available to attend.
I’m also looking to bring some offerings to the free table. On Gordon’s advice, I’m posting what I plan to bring as part of my ongoing process of focusing on key systems and reducing the collection sprawl. Even with budget issues at home, I have no intent of asking for any sales - it’s just not my zen thing (I’ve always preferred trade or give-away. In this case, more give-away). I’m simply hoping to find good homes for these items and freeing up space.
Look over the list and if anyone is especially interested in a particular item, feel free to respond and I will hold that item for you.
- Functional KayPro 4 with all software disks, manuals, keyboard templates, and a Centronics to Centronics cable to connect to a printer. System is clean and functional - drive b may have something rattled loose and need some attention (or replacement with 360K drive, or upgraded with more modern SD card drive emulator).
- Tektronics 5103N Scope with 3 assorted modules and manual (self-printed/bound). Works.
- HP 4951C Protocol Analyzer with assorted self-generated utility disks. Works as far as I can tell.
- 2006 Apple Mini-Mac. Works and self-logs on. Just never had the password to wipe the system and reinstall. Will include Snow Leopard Disk
- Dell Latitude e6240 laptop (wiped - install OS of your own choosing with ease - well... any x86/64 based ones), with power supply and extra tray to replace CDROM with second SATA drive. Works well - even better if the HDD is swapped out with SSD.
- Gold-traced unpopulated Apple 1 PCB with replicated manual, parts list and unpopulated cassette interface PCB (silver-traced). Cool project for anyone with decent soldering skills and patience to obtain parts (a few may be difficult to find). Or might make a cool item to frame and display on the wall.
- A small collection of Sharp Pocket Computers PC-1250A, PC-1246, PC-1270 without battery cells. All work perfectly. Manuals for PC-1246/1247, PC-1350 and PC-3 Printer/Cassette interface (not functional, but includes power supply). Offered as a bundle.
- A few small miscellaneous items (TBD).
And no worries, Kent. I have no intentions to clutter up the free table after the meeting, but will take anything not claimed back with me.
Looking forward to seeing many of you there. Have a great month and stay safe.
Clay Erickson.
