This week we talked about category theory a bit, went over a machine
learning question I had, and the idea was suggested of using the
Feynman Lectures as a running theme to get us all up to about the same
ability, as far as the basics go at least, with a good chunk of math.
Then anyone new who joined the group could just start in on the
Feynman lectures and have a bunch of people able and willing to answer
questions, if they need to get up to speed. I think we should do
this, personally. (As well as other books for whoever is interested
in any.) What do you guys think? Or talk about it at the meeting and
I'll catch up with you in two weeks.
