I am forwarding an announcement (see email below) about a somewhat spontaneous ILCA clinic planned for this weekend November 15-16 at Shilshole. The coach is outstanding. Note there is an option to participate for one day or two. 

Regardless of whether or not you participate, please also see that the recently appointed District Secretary for ILCA District 22, Alex Samano, has established a new communication channel to keep you appraised of District news and events directly via a group WhatsApp “ILCA North America D22" . I encourage you to join the WhatsApp group if you or your kids plan to be engaged in ILCA racing at any level.

I hope to see many of you at the CYC Turkey Bowl Regatta on November 22-23. I’m personally excited to se that we already have ten ILCA 7s registered and I expect to see more. There are five 4.7s and a few 6s thus far. I’m sure more of both will register next week as we get close to regatta weekend.

D22 ILCA Sailors and Beyond,

The CYC Community Sailing Center and PSST will be hosting a 2-Day ILCA Performance Clinic with Andrew Holdsworth @ CYC of Seattle. The schedule will be set on Thursday as we know more about the wind. You can expect a start between 10 and 1 with a couple of 1.5 - 2 hr sessions.

• About Andrew. Andrew Holdsworth is the current ILCA6 2024 Grand Masters World Champion and a notable figure in the ILCA sailing community. He holds a degree in Naval Architecture and Shipbuilding from the University of Newcastle and currently serves on the ILCA Technical Committee.
• Testing new ILCA4 sails. Andrew is currently testing the new ILCA4 sail and will be bringing 2 sets for a last comparison before they go to production. So, if you are an ILCA4 sailor and want to try the new sail coming out some time this Spring, this is your chance.
