Hi, Mark. 

Port Townsend Sailing Association is hosting a two-day Small Boat Regatta later this month and I hope some D22 Lasers can join. There are currently a few loaner boats with XD rigging available for reservation.

PTSA’s Small Boat Night is continuing through fall I believe. We’re meeting at the Boat Haven launch on Mondays at 5pm. Usually 4-6 Lasers plus 505, Snipe, PT15 and a 29er. Anyone can email Paul.H....@protonmail.com or el...@nwmaritime.org for more info and/or to be added to their email list.

Yes, I’m in Langley and we’re getting 10-15 Lasers out weekly racing. I also am part of the Seattle Laser Fleet which basically is non-existent now. We do have 2 loaners in Seattle which you’re welcome to use as well.

Dan and Paul,

Could you give us a little info on parking, trailer and Laser boat fees so if people were to come to the regatta showing up Friday and leaving Sunday afternoon or Monday. Any other costs or info to consider?

I believe PTSA is working with the port to waive ramp fees (I think it's $10/day) and they will provide free storage in the lot at the ramp and A dock.

Hello Laser Sailors:  

Well, Sailing didn’t stick for my son, but he is going off to college to compete in NCAA swimming.  When we thought he might want to race lasers, we bought a new Ovington laser from West Coast, complete with carbon rig and sails,  two blade bags, two sets of blades, two vangs, lots of other extras along with boat cover, rig cover, at least three sails and a double trailer and a dolly, all for sale.  

I would consider splitting the boat and double trailer.  

Boat and all sails, rigs, blades, dolly and etc. : $6000

All this with the trailer : $7000

Trailer alone: $1500.
