Congratulations everyone! I had a blast and I hope you did too. The rough count I last head heard was around 270. Next time I hope to add more student projects and do a more formal scheduling of talks and demos - aside from planning more than 2 weeks in advance of course :) Please use this thread to share your own thoughts and experiences.

I would also like to provide feedback to DigiPen so feel free to post ideas, complaints, suggestions, etc. We got a lot of support from DigiPen and I don't think we would have been able to hold the event this summer without them. I think they will make a great partner in the future as well.

Here is some press coverage (this should cross post on GameCritics.com soon)

Me first?  OK.  ;)

This was our first public showing and it was a blast!  It felt great to be there.  We are just now making more ties to the community because we wanted to have something worth showing to "prove" we are serious.  So this was almost ideal.  I got to talk with a handful of other developers close to or ahead of where we are in development and get some advice -- and trade emails to keep sharing successes and ideas.

The crowd was obviously biased towards positive feedback and that includes the developers.  That's good but it's also good to get more "devil's advocate" type feedback also.  In any case, we have over a dozen small and large ideas to apply now.

As for DigiPen, it was my first time out there and everything went really well. Kudos for getting a place with good parking.  (I'm so used to worrying about Seattle parking.)  I liked having the big room with extra space to mingle.  Perhaps we should have spread out the games more.  In any case, I think the low-key forum was great for the attendees and devs to hang out and play.

I've heard some thoughts on beer.  Sure, would be nice, but not really necessary.  Just my two cents as I raise my electro-shields.

Finally, like I mentioned to Paul there, perhaps we could let in the public at noon, but have a couple of hours to talk shop before that.

If I could add anything.  Hmm.  Next year I'm going to bring more booth babes and a giant stereo.  Haha.  HaHAHAHA!
