Dear Community members,

We, TAW & RTYC, would like to request and remind about our 'March for Tibet' on Losar day, 22nd Feb.  As many of you might have heard, once again we had 18 years old self immolating in Tibet the other day. It's unimaginable personal sacrifice and tragedy for Tibet to lose so many innocent and healthy lives ( 25 of them ).  Most of them have barely stepped up into manhood & womanhood with lots of personal promises to fulfill and with their loved once who proudly look up to them and many others who rely on them for means of support.
Everyone one of them have given up their lives so that we all can live in Free Tibet.

The time come for all of us to take those Free Tibet bumper stickers from rear of our cars and stick to our heart.  Come and show your support if you mean what you say and take pride in your identity as Tibetan.

We will meet at Sakya Monastery for the sangsol and prayer service for our martyrs at 9:30am and our rally will start at 11:30am.
Please visit our website: www.washingtontibet.org for more detail.

Please do not forget to bring Khatas for offering and also come prepared for the weather during rally.
Those who plan to leave their car at Greenwood can catch bus back from Westlake tunnel station.
-Bus route # 355 will take you directly to Greenwood and 85th street.
-Bus route # 358 will drop you at Aurora & 85th and then catch route # 48 to Greenwood & 85th.

Once again I request all to come as we expect quite lot of American friends to attend and it would be embarrassing if Tibetans are out numbered.

One final FYI:  Though we are starting our rally from Sakya monastery, they are not involved in organizing the rally and we need to make this clear to any news media if you happened to be interviewed.  We are very grateful for Sakya Gompa & organization for make it available for us to perform our traditional and ritual aspects of Losar.

See you all at Sakya Monastery at 9:30am on Losar

Bhoe Gyalo !
