Asentria produces a broad line of devices to facilitate remote
management of equipment sites such as cellular, power, ADSL, WiMAX,
microwave, and so on. As part of this offering we provide central
management server tools for managing medium-to-large deployments of
these remote devices. These management server products require a rich
and extensive UI to provide all the usability and user friendliness
needed. We are transitioning from an HTML UI to a UI based on the
Adobe Flex framework. The person hired for this position will work as
a team with another Flex Developer and together they will be
responsible for complete production of the application client UI using
Flex.
A qualified candidate:
• Should be comfortable understanding requirements then producing the
UI
• Should have ability to work independently to build an aesthetic user
interface integrated with a java backend
• Must have experience programming maintain-able, production-ready
code, working closely with the server side development team
• You should have adequate experience styling and skinning flex
applications
• Must be motivated and able to work as part of a team
Summary of Qualifications Required:
• Solid familiarity with the Flex framework, Version 3 and 4 - Vital
• Experience in AS 3.0 - Vital
• Experience in development of enterprise-class GUI applications -
Vital
• Good understanding of RIA application requirements and design -
Vital
• Ability to develop maintainable, production-ready code - Vital
• OOP application architecture experience - Vital
• MVC design pattern experience - Cairngorm, PureMVC or Mate framework
experience would be relevant - Vital
• Experience with various data access methods, webservice, LCDS,
BlazeDS, GraniteDS, phpAMF or similar - Vital
• Experience with 3rd party API’s and frameworks such as Mapping
API’s, Degrafa, papervision3D - Vital
• Experience with Java -Desirable
• Persistence frameworks JPA/Hibernate– Desirable
• Knowledge in Ajax, JavaScript and XML - Desirable
• Experience with databases such as Postgres , MySQL, SQL Server -
Desirable
• UI architecture/usability design experience - Desirable
• Knowledge/experience with the Flex component lifecycle - Desirable
• Graphical Skinning / Programmatic skinning - Desirable
• Experience with CS4 – Illustrator/Photoshop/Flash as it relates to
skinning - Desirable
