Job Title: Flash Developer

General Description:

The MSN Premier Media Group is looking for a Flash Developer.

This individual will be working on high-profile MSN premier
advertising solution deals. Using the Macromedia Flash authoring tool,
the flash developer will create, rebuild and validate online custom
rich media ad solutions for top tier brands and will be working
everyday to push Flash to its limits. Working closely with the team -
including other designers, project managers, sales, testers, and R&D
engineers, the Flash Developer will provide post-sales creative
production support for complex technical ad solutions, to bring
creative concepts to life and ensure product specification compliance.
In addition to advanced Flash scripting knowledge, the person in this
role should possess a working knowledge of Flash Media Server, data
integration and server side scripting and will also be encouraged to
spend time finding new trends in the industry that will allow for
innovative new techniques and media opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

·Post-sales creative production support -- developing, animating &
validating Flash-based custom Rich Media ads, supporting high revenue,
top brand advertising client executions as a global scale
·Collaborating with cross-functional team members to ensure 100%
technical product specification compliance of custom ads built/
validated for seamless work-flow hand-off to test team
·Exceptional technical troubleshooting skills – working closely with
PM’s and testers to efficiently resolve Flash creative level bugs
identified throughout site testing process
·Working closely with R&D virtual team to ensure technical compliance
and adherence to requirements on custom “beta” ad executions for new
products
·Maintaining high coding standards and practices and exercising
quality control on all aspects of Flash development
·Implementing cutting-edge Flash techniques and integration of the
latest features
·Working closely with other Flash developers and designers on Flash
projects ensuring peer-to-peer sharing of knowledge and practices
·Problem-solving in scripting, performance and optimization of Flash
projects

Technical / Functional Skills:

Required:

·Expertise in Flash development methodologies (i.e. ActionScript 2.0,
component implementation, class libraries, etc.)
·In-depth 3D Animation, particle manipulation, sound visualization,
video streaming technology, and design knowledge
·Practical experience with related web technologies (i.e. HTML, XML,
AJAX, etc.)
·Ability to work on effectively multi-task against several complex
projects concurrently
·Proven aptitude for quick creative and technical thinking with acute
attention to detail under tight deadlines
·A strong team player who will develop team relations that foster both
learning and excellence
·Proven track record of exceptional performance, high productivity and
meeting deadlines

Bonus Technical Skills:
·Additional creative tool set knowledge and expertise (i.e. Adobe
Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
·ActionScript 3.0
·High-level server side scripting language skills (i.e. PHP, ASP,
ColdFusion, Python, etc.)
·Experience with Paper Vision 3D

Education and Experience:

·BS in Computer Science or related field, BA in Fine Arts or
equivalent work experience with a focus on the technical side of art
·3+ years programming experience (ActionScript and object-oriented
preferred)
·3+ years experience as a Flash developer (preferably within an ad
agency environment)
·2+ years online advertising experience preferred
·Portfolio (preferably online) and code samples will be required
