The ActiveWorks Team is responsible for building a highly
configurable, high volume application platform that support multiple
market applications as well as core Business Intelligence functions.
This position will require a strong software engineering background,
experience in all aspects of the SDLC, team skills and strong hands-on
coding abilities.

Responsibilities:

The Senior/Lead Flex Engineer will participate in full life-cycle
development of various Flex applications that are high-performance,
scalable, reusable, and provide seamless integration with Java
environments.

This is an opportunity to work with the latest RIA technology on our
next generation consumer-facing systems.

Candidates must have experience developing applications with Flex 3,
and demonstrate excellent ActionScript 3.0 skills as well as knowledge
of various Flex libraries.


Experience with Cairngorm frameworks and patterns within Flex/Flash/
AIR projects is highly desirable , as well as any additional knowledge
of Java and other RIA technologies.

Working in an Agile team environment, you will be working to bring to
life functional requirements delivered from product management
team.
You are expected to think critically about business value as you
contribute to component architecture and data design.

Education and experience preferred:
• 8+ years as a software developer
• 2+ years Flex development
• Demonstrated ability to using Flex
• Experience with MVC Framework
• Excellent verbal and written communications – ability to
present information to all levels within the company
• Complete knowledge of all phases of Software Development
Cycle
• Strong OOP background
• Experience leading geographically distributed teams


Nice to have:
• Java experience (this is almost a must)
• Experience with Agile methodologies
• Successful projects in both large and small teams
• Web service/SOA development
• Experience in a Software as a Service (SaaS) company
