Hello!

Last night, I had the pleasure of attending “Permaculture Around the World” by Jenny Pell and Marisha Auerbach. With so many learning opportunities (many free or low cost, too!), I think I can fit at least one into to my schedule each month. How about you?

The next event I plan to attend is:

June 29th (Mon.) Diana Leafe Christian’s presentation, Sustainable Living in Community: Ecovillages, Transition Towns, & More, at Sharingwood in Snohomish, WA, 6:00 PM potluck, 7:00 PM slideshow.

Here’s a small slice of what’s on the Seattle and Cascadia Eco Workshops Calendar:

  • June 30th (Tue.) – One-Straw Revolution/Larry Korn, Portland, OR, at Tryon Life Community Farm
  • June 30th (Tue.) – Greening the Plumbing: Technology for Efficient Residential Water Distribution, Olympia, WA, a NW EcoBuilding Guild event
  • July 1st (Wed.) – Composting for Apartment Dwellers, Seattle, WA, one of several in a free series by Seattle Parks
  • July 10th (Fri.) – Bat Walk, Everett, WA, at the Northwest Stream Center
  • July 11th (Sat.) – Nutrient Management (Soil), Woodinville, WA, at 21 Acres Farm
  • July 11th (Sat.) – Bees: The OTHER Way, Battle Ground, WA, natural, respectful beekeeping to avoid CCD.

On the horizon:

·        July 18th (Sat.) – 6th Annual Shoreline SolarFest, Shoreline, WA, an annual renewable energy and sustainable living fair

·        July 19th – August 8thPermaculture Design Course, Orcas Island, WA, learn from the internationally re-known Bullock brothers

·        Aug 21st – 23rdRocket Stove Mass Heater Workshop, Snohomish, WA, build a wood stove with less emissions than even the newest EPA-certified wood stoves plus a cob bench for thermal mass heat retention.

Please help spread the work about the Cascadia Eco Workshops Calendar. If enough people visit the calendar, and subscribe to these ‘weekly’ notices, then I can make some site upgrades and perhaps even enlist some help to keep this going.

Pick your ‘shade of green:’

Cascadia Eco Workshops
(this is the ‘no/all-category’ calendar)

Alternative Energy

Alternative Health

Food, Sustainable Gardening and Locavore

Green & Alternative Building

NW Permaculture

Wilderness, Forestry and Environment.

Then learn and enjoy. It’s that simple.

All my best to you and yours,

Jocelyn Campbell
