I know we're moving our cooking party to winter (and I'm glad -- this
month has gotten BUSY!), but would anyone be interested in a cookie
exchange with the kids? I'd be happy to host - maybe a morning if
there's a day when we're all off work, or a weekend morning? Maybe
everyone bring a plate of cookies and we all pig out ? :)

That sounds like fun. Would Friday of next week work for people?

Don't forget to fill out the Doodle for the next cooking date!

I don't know if next Friday (14th?) works for me--are we thinking daytime with the kids, or evening?  I can't do daytime as I work on Fridays (and Simon is in day care), and evening might not work because we have friends who are moving out of state on the 22nd and we're trying to get together with them before they leave.

Don't schedule around me--I will try to make it if that Friday works for everyone else.

Our weekend evenings are pretty full.  I'm not sure that we will be able to make it to a cookie exchange.  I do love cookies, so I wish I could.

Sorry for dropping the ball on this! Is everyone still okay with tomorrow
(Friday the 14th) at my house for cookies? Maybe around 4pm? Let me know if
you'd be available. I'm thinking we could each make (or buy - seriously, we
don't need to be Martha if we're busy!) a batch of cookies and then get
together with the kids and eat them with Christmas music and some hot cocoa.

Absolutely! Kids are welcome (with the one note that if anyone is sick, we’d love to see you another time).

Hey Mickie,
I invited Cat and mentioned the illness issue and she said that they
have perma-sniffle from daycare. Would you rather they stay home?

If you have time in your schedule, don’t skip it because you don’t have cookies! Really! I’m certain we’ll have enough J

Do you mean ingredients to make cookies?  I think the idea is to bring cookies already made and then we trade (and eat).  I'm fine with just eating the cookies I made, though, if you don't have time to make any.

I was thinking we’d bring cookies and eat them. I’m going to make a batch, so we’ll be covered. If you guys don’t have time to make cookies, don’t stress and just come over. I promise I won’t clean or vacuum or anything, so we’ll be even J

Hah :-).

I don't think I can make it, as Andrew rashly invited his school cohort over for a party tomorrow, and we're going out to dinner tonight...which means I have to go grocery shopping between 4 and 5 today.  How come these things never mean more work for him???

BTW, I had an amazing treat on Tuesday--the person who made them mixed a small jar of Nutella, two eggs and 5 Tbsp flour and put it in mini cupcake cups @ 350.  The best brownies I've ever had, and I'm not even a big fan of Nutella.

And Ellie is super cranky with a sniffle this morning, a sure sign she's coming down with something, so we should probably bow out, too.  Too bad!
