I’m happy to do the grocery store shopping on Friday the 15th. Anyone willing to do Costco?

Mickie

I believe that Bethany said she would do Costco.  I can also do shopping on the afternoon of the 15th if that is needed (maybe whatever you can't get, Mickie).  I will pull the pantry box out of the attic tonight and check off what we already have.

See you guys on Saturday!  What time are we starting again?  11?

Ok, done.  Pro tip:  You have to be signed in to your google account to edit.  Duh.

I can shop at Costco on Friday afternoon.

It looks like I can shop around noon on Friday, so I will let you know what I was able to get at Costco.  I remember that lemons and onions are not great from costco.  Anything else?

I think they sell organic chicken breasts at Costco now.  I doubt they do organic ground beef, pork, or turkey, so that will probably have to be elsewhere.

See you all on Saturday!

I think you can get organic ground turkey there (and chicken thighs).  Not sure we'll find organic beef or pork, which is fine with me.

Also, note that I bought some curry powder since I was having trouble finding it on my own and thought I'd better grab it while I could.

I am, actually!! And looking forward to chocolate chip cookies J

Bethany, let me know once you’ve done the Costco run – I have babysitting until 12:30 today, so I may end up doing the “regular store” shopping after Steve gets home from work tonight. Also, what is the verdict on organic pork/beef? I don’t care if we have to do regular.

Okay, I've updated the spreadsheet.  Let me know if you can't see the changes.

Also, I noticed that we need some cooked chicken breasts.  I was wondering if you all woudl be okay with me cooking those tonight or tomorrow morning to help save some of our prep time tomorrow?  I would just need to know what you all think the best way to cook them would be?

That would be great, Bethany! I find roasting them in the oven is the easiest.

That's really nice, but don't feel like you have to!  I think roasting them in the oven with some salt and pepper sounds fine.

I got organic chicken and beef.  They didn't have ground pork at costco and the turkey came in too large a package.  I am fine either way for the turkey or pork.

Just a reminder, we will be convening at 11 am at my house tomorrow.  Please bring a good knife and a cutting board if you have one.  Thanks!

Also, Bethany, I have one of those electric griddles that can probably cook 10 chicken breasts at a time (just remembered it) in case you want to skip cooking chicken tonight.

I like the griddle idea, I will just hold off.  Melissa, could you remind me of your address?

Yes, sorry! I got everything on the list. Steve had to work late, so i didn't get to qfc until 11, and forgot to update the list.
