Hi ladies,

I just wanted to touch base and let you all know a couple of things:

1. I made an updated excel file with all the current (and new) members
and their respective email addresses. Perhaps you can all be sure to
reference this list when sending out Evites. The new list is saved in
the Files category on the google group page.

2. Since we are a week and a half out, I just wanted to confirm that
we are still having book club on the 18th of this month? Refresh my
memory - is Allison hosting? If so, can we make sure an evite gets
sent out when you have a second so that we can all get it on our
calendars? If Allison can't, is anyone else willing to host this
month?

Hope everyone is enjoying Valley of the Dolls so far!

How do folks feel about the week after Thanksgiving since the previous mtg was later in Oct? I am still good with hosting.

If anyone has a copy I could borrow-I had to return mine to the library b.c I got distracted by other books and ony got through about 1/3.

I guess my only concern about shifting the date is that I feel we will
then always be 'off' you know? If we move it, we'll be in December
already.

I think my vote would be to keep next week's date to just get back on
track, you know? And I know we just met, but truly only like 4 ppl
ended up going last month anyway. :)

Hope everyone else chimes in!!!!

That is true, we'll already be in December if we move it that far back. I'm definitely not going to be done by next week but I vote for keeping it the 18th

Maybe we can watch the movie? :) BTW, The Road (one of our previous reads) comes out in theaters Nov. 25!

I vote for keeping the date on Nov 18, otherwise I definitely won't be able to go to the next meeting.

I'm ok with meeting next Wednesday. I probably won't have finished the book by then, but it'll be fun to get together just the same.  What should I bring?

ok ladies - it sounds like people are fine with having the meeting
next week - regardless of who has read/finished the book! i mean
seriously - how much time do we REALLY talk about the book anyway. ;)

that being said, allison, would you mind sending an evite out to the
group so everyone can RSVP and say what they are bringing?

yea!!!

I am sadly going to have to miss if it is next Weds (18th)- my board meeting is a week early this month because of thanksgiving.
Boo!

See y'all sometime...

I propose that (instead of having book club tomorrow) we skip this
month so everyone has time to participate. We could stick with the
third Wednesday (December 16) if that still works for everyone. I
believe Noelle said she'd host?

I think it would be fun to watch the Valley of the Dolls movie too and
discuss!

Thoughts??

Dec. 16 works for me.  So is the book for December the Valley of the Dolls?  I want to make sure I'm reading the correct book!

I know I have remiss in my hostess not to mention membership role in bookclub. I love the idea. The 16th works for me.
