Hello Seattle Blues Dancers,
This is Ted
Maddry writing from San Francisco, to invite you to share in food,
fun, and training at Camp Blues this Labor Day weekend (Sept 2-5) in Portland, OR. The main instructors will be Drew Robinson (Portland), John Lozano (Seattle), Barry Douglas (Detroit), and Brenda Russell (Portland).
If you've
never participated in a Camp Blues event, this is your best opportunity
to immerse yourself into an atmosphere dedicated solely to community and blues dance.
For those
who experienced Camp Blues before, this will be the first ever camp where I'm not in attendance (family wedding). I'm excited to have camp happening without me, and looking forward to hearing what Brenda creates with Barry, Drew, John, and all the assistant instructors and staff.
We've
planned the camp to make sure you get the best learning experience and fun for
your money. Here's what you can expect when you participate in Camp Blues:
- You’ll
spend 4 days (3 nights) taking classes with some of the finest blues teachers in the country in a 4:1 student/teacher ratio.
- Each day you'll receive semi-private
instruction to help connect the classroom topics specifically to you.
- You'll
be able to make the most of your moves each night by attending scheduled
house parties and public dances (optional) in a relaxing atmosphere
of friends and entertainment.
- You’ll eat together as a group for breakfast and lunch for all 4 days
of your stay. We can
accommodate vegetarian and special diet requests.
- You’ll
swap dances and dance tips with high-level professional dancers in Portland and develop your role as a member of the dance community.
Just ask anyone who's been through a Camp
Blues event: after spending four nights training and dancing with
friends and top instructors, your confidence and dancing will completely
change.
I'm so
convinced that Camp Blues will improve your dancing that I have included
a money-back guarantee.
Come to Portland Labor Day Weekend for an experience that you'll never
forget.

All my best,
Ted
