Dear Seattle Blues Dancers,
It has been about a year since Burn Blue first organized the monthly Blues Foundations workshops. In this committee meeting, we will review how the program is going, take feedback and solicit ideas for improvement to the program, and provide opportunities for those who want to be more involved in making Blues Foundations work on an ongoing basis.
This meeting will take place on Saturday, June 18th and will start at 2:00pm. We will meet at
8319 Greenwood Ave, Seattle, WA
Please arrive a bit early to order a drink and get settled. This will allow us to start the meeting on time.
The main focus of the meeting will be on improving the business plan for these workshops to help ensure that they can be successful month after month.
Additionally, we are interested in training new hosts/promoters for the program. One of the existing hosts/promoters (Lisa Lafleur) may moving away later this summer to, in her words, “do exciting things at a location yet to be determined J”. With Lisa possibly leaving town, we need to find others who are interested in taking on this role. Lisa has offered to come to this meeting and pass on all the knowledge she has about this role so that future hosts/promoters can perform this role well.
So, you should come to this meeting if you
· Are passionate about the Blues Foundations program and want to contribute to its success
· Want to become more involved in the program (for example as a host/promoter for the program)
· Like chocolate and/or coffee J
This committee meeting is for everyone, no matter how long they have been dancing or where they prefer to dance. Please tell your friends!
Looking forward to it!
Miles Cohen
