Hello Everybody!

As the time draws near, I wanted to review the details of the day and make sure all your questions are answered.  I have also attached the spreadsheet of the table assignments.  Please take a look and make sure you are OK with it.  Make sure that if you are planning on participating that you are on the list.

The Library has this event in its events Calendar, so we can expect a nice crowd.  I have also asked that it be cross posted on the Pacific Northwest Historians Guild website.

1.       The Fair will open to the public at 10 am and close at 3 pm.  Oct 5, Wednesday.

2.       You can load in from the library’s parking garage—I’ll have carts there for you.  Bring your displays/handouts to Level 10 by taking the elevator from the parking garage to Level 1.  Then a staff person can “badge” the elevator to Level 10.  The elevators from the parking garage do not go beyond Level 1 until the library opens at 10 am.

3.       We’ll have a light coffee service set up on Level 10 for you as you unload , set up, and meet your co-exhibitors.

4.       Everyone will have a table, chairs and wi-fi.  So bring your laptops.  There are not a lot of outlets in the area of the Fair, so please bring your devises fully charged and with backup batteries if you have them.  We do not have any extra laptops, etc.

5.       We’ll have signage in the building advertising the fair and will announce it several times over the PA system.

6.       Paula Becker’s talk will begin at noon and I will be the MC for this event.  Is someone from SAA planning to introduce Paula?  (someone may have already volunteered for this …but I don’t have it my notes so I wanted to check—we will want a proper introduction for her).

7.       We do have security in the building, but there will not be any special security coverage for this event.  So please be very mindful of your personal items, electronic equipment, and materials in your display.

8.       Handouts are welcome and will be appreciated by the attendees.  However, you cannot sell items—it’s a Library board policy.

Feel free to send questions to me and I’ll figure out the answers!  Looking forward to seeing you all.
