Hello,

My name is Michael Maitlen and I have a number of side projects which
I'm utilizing the Android framework. I've been a Java programmer for
the last 9 years and was very excited to find out that my knowledge
would transfer very well into the Android development environment.

I currently have 3 applications on the Android Market. Jumpy is a
simple peg jumping game which has done much better then I imagined it
would (almost 31,000 downloads), and although I haven't made any money
off of it since it's free, it was a great learning experience. My
first paid app, Note To Me, hasn't done very well, but I think it's
still missing a couple key features; hopefully I get some time soon to
implement them. Lastly is my latest app called MediaDroid, it's still
in beta mode and only a trial version is available, but I do have some
big plans and hope it'll do well on the market.

Developing applications has not only taught me about Android, but also
about bootstrapping my own projects. I'm not sure if I'll be able to
make a living off of my apps, but it'd be great to use the profits to
pay off a car or maybe a nice trip for my family.

I'm also interested in finding a full time job developing for the
Android platform, so anyone knows of a company looking for developers
I'd be interested to hear about them.
