Description:
AOL Ventures, a new seed- stage investment division of AOL dedicated
to fostering global innovation and building long-term capital
appreciation, is looking to hire a senior investor to lead our team on
the West Coast. The candidate will be involved in all stages of the
investment process as well as portfolio management. AOL Ventures will
help entrepreneurs turn their ideas into companies by attracting and
growing innovative initiatives and talent.
The successful candidate will be a key member of a small team. This
individual will be a highly analytical, innovative, driven,
self-starter with global VC and/or transactional experience in the
Internet/new media space.
Responsibilities to include (but not be limited to):
• Source new investment opportunities through networking and strategic
partnerships.
• Identify relevant emerging areas of strategic importance to AOL.
• Create and support point of view on potential investments.
• Conduct all stages of due diligence to include: financial modeling,
market analysis; and primary and secondary research.
• Provide a high level of support to existing portfolio companies
through analysis and strategic planning.
• Assist with the development of leading edge, entrepreneurial-
friendly processes, procedures and investment theses.
