Hi Shaun,

Pictures will help.  A lot of parts can be made or acquired depending on what it is you need.  Anyway you should get responses to your questions.  You can look on
the Seaspray website as well for pictures and info.

I am new to sailing in every way and form.Sailing terminology and skill is
something I am learning as I progress. I've always had an interest in
sailing but never the time lol. I had recently acquired a catamaran
unbeknown to many and after countless hours researching, I discovered the
name. I am the proud new owner of a SEA MOTH II. It seems that info on this
catamaran is practically non-existent as well as finding another!! By
chance, I found out that it is identical to the Sea Spray15 but was produce
by AMF for a short number of years. The boat is in need of full restoration
and is missing a few parts.I hope to borrow some of your knowledge and get
this long forgotten and abandon Sea Moth back on the water!! I'll post
photos as I progress with the repairs. I am located in Orlando, Fl and if
there is anybody in the area with a Sea Spray or Moth, I would like to meet
up if possible.

Thanks
Shaun

After some delay here is some pics. The wife found plenty of other projects for me to work on other than the boat lol. The middle pic is of when I first picked it up and after some serious cleaning it looked a lot better.

I looked at your pictures and noticed that the luff of the mainsail is not in the mast.  The mainsail has a bolt rope under the dacron at the leading edge of the mainsail from the top of the sail to the tack or bottom leading edge.  This bolt rope should be inserted into the mast at an opening above where the boom attaches to the mast and pulled up by the halyard until the sail reaches the top of the mast.  The second thing is picture boat 3 and boat 5 show the boom vang blocks and rope.  This is attached to the base of the mast as shown and at a point on the boom a few feet back from where it is attached to the mast.  There should be a stainless steel strap attached to the boom where the second block of the boom vang is attached to the boom.  The purpose of this is to keep the boom from riding up when the mainsheet block is let off when sailing downwind.  Hope this helps.

I also forgot to mention that the website canadianseaspray.com has a lot of pictures of race boats that show how many seasprays are set up.  These may look different than your setup but may help to give you an idea of what works.  There will also be pictures of boats that will be very similar to your setup.  Don
