Hi Kaloyan,To participate in Season of Docs, an organization must:(a) run an active and viable open source software project;
(b) have already produced and released software under an Open Source Initiative (OSI)-approved license;
(c) not be a government agency or acting on behalf of a government or quasi-government agency that is funded by the public;
(d) not be based in a United States embargoed country, or otherwise prohibited by applicable export controls and sanctions programs; and
(e) if the Organization is an individual,
(i) not be a resident of a United States embargoed country;
(ii) not be ordinarily resident in a United States embargoed country, or otherwise prohibited by applicable export controls and sanctions programs; and
(iii) be at least eighteen (18) years of age upon registration for the Program.
You can find more information about eligibility in our program rules.Moreover, an organization may have one or more open source projects. Some organizations, such as foundations, may have multiple sub-organizations that each have one or more open source projects. If your organization has independent sub-organizations, please make this clear in your application. For example, programming language “Foo” could apply for documentation for the language as a whole, as well as for any plugins, libraries, or modules used with the language. Please find more information in our FAQ.Best,SoD team

I am a faculty at a state university with a team of students developing an open source project that could really benefit from improved documentation, however reading the announcement of this program it is unclear to me if our development team is eligible to participate and what the organization would be: the project development team or the university.
