Prayer Request from Seaside UMC re: Mother of our Health and Welfare Director Sheila King's mom, Betty McPherson

Dear Friends,

Please lift up in prayer Betty McPherson, Sheila King's mother. Mrs. McPherson was hospitalized a few days ago with pneumonia, and also suffers from severe COPD, as well as other life-threatening diagnoses. She had previously been moved from ICU to a "step-down" unit. Presently, however, her situation has worsened, and she has been returned to ICU. Her condition at this time is very serious. 

Upon her mother's insistence, Sheila drove to the western part of the state last night in order to take a necessary nursing exam for which she had pre-registered. She finished the exam and is now en route back to Elizabeth City. Understandably she is quite upset over her mother's worsening condition. So please also pray for traveling mercies for Sheila as it will require another 3-4 hours on the road to her destination. Other family members, including Ricky and the King children, are on their way as well from Ocean Isle.

We pray God's grace and peace would rest on this family during this difficult time, and God's mercy for Mrs. McPherson.
