This is Subra, (your student). I was certified TBLI under your training in 2021 June. This mail is to express my heartfelt gratitude and deep respect to you for mentoring and teaching me Mind Mapping, something that has changed my life forever. 2021 has been a wonderful year for me as a teacher, where I not only implemented mind mapping in my personal and professional life, but I have also taken mind mapping online classes for 500+ students.

Buzan popularised the idea of mental literacy, radiant thinking, and a technique called mind mapping,[2] inspired by techniques used by Leonardo da Vinci, Albert Einstein, and Joseph D. Novak's "concept mapping" techniques.[3]

He was a promoter of mnemonic systems and mind mapping techniques. He launched his own software programme to support mind mapping called iMindMap in December 2006 with Welsh entrepreneur, Chris Griffiths. The Buzan Organisation holds trademarks on the phrase "Mind Maps" in the context of self-improvement educational courses in the UK,[6] the USA[7] and Germany.[8] The trademark does not appear in the records of the Canadian Intellectual Property Office.[9]

The moment I think of HOME and DINNER, I may think of buying food, preparing it, inviting people, etc. So all of these are added to the mind map as well. Note that in the classical method, there is no mention of the order of the information added in the sub-branches. For clarity, I will create an order that is logical to me:

You should use as many images as possible to stimulate your entire brain. Normally you would use words. These stimulate (in the classical teachings) the left side of the brain. The right hemisphere is stimulated by colors and images. So you should add these to your mind map to make sure you use your entire brain as much as possible.

You can imagine that showing the image to different people will evoke different responses. Some people really love the bright and colorful mind map. Others are much more drawn toward the basic black and white text map.

I'm currently reading Tony Buzan's latest book about radiant thinking and mind-mapping (2018). I am a psychology student ironically enough doing a course in Neuropsychology as we speak. I'm trying to start making mindmaps but I'm struggling hard to get all these technical terms and explanations onto a mind-map that only allows keywords and images.

iMindMap, created by Chris Griffiths, a leading expert on mind mapping, and Tony Buzan, the inventor of the Mind Map, was a great success and was used by millions of people. As a desktop only app it limited how users could share or collaborate, so in 2019, Chris and the OpenGenius team, decided to go beyond basic mind mapping with the launch of Ayoa, a new generation of mind mapping software that is powering the future of work and learning.

Another key feature of Ayoa is its powerful task management system. Create, assign, and track tasks, set deadlines and reminders, and get notified when tasks are complete. This makes it easier than ever to stay on top of your work and ensure that nothing falls through the cracks.

Good news! Organic and freehand style mind mapping is available in Ayoa. Following principles from the traditional mind map and our years of experience in the mind mapping industry, organic mind mapping in Ayoa uses a more hand drawn and curvilinear to approach to help your natural thinking processes and aid your creativity.

The emergence of the mind map stems from Tony's frustration with traditional methods of memorisation. When grades in high school deteriorated, Busen despaired of linear learning methods such as to-do lists or cheat sheets, and looked for more creative ways to remember and learn.

A mind map is a method of visual expression of thoughts which helps to structure and remember information and generate ideas. However, not everyone is aware of this method or knows how to use it correctly.

As early as the ancient Greeks invented a system for remembering information using imagination and association, such as the locus technique of the memory palace. You may remember it from the TV series Sherlock (improving memory by selecting places and forming mind images of things they want to remember, told in a particular order in visualised places).

It is crucial that you understand that mindmapping has pros and cons. Mind maps help with prioritising, combating procrastination, preparing, organising, planning for the future, weighing up the pros and cons, learning the language, taking extended notes and taking stock. But the mind map can also make your project more difficult. Try different methods and applications.

Based on the Tony Buzan mind map, it exists in a variety of designs, shapes, and colors. The essential idea, however, would be the same for every variety. Explaining topics and providing small bits of knowledge stimulates the brain. The sample below shows a frequently occurring form. Mind Mapping, according to Tony Buzan, is a two-dimensional point of clarification technique in which a mind map is created utilizing all relevant expertise about a specific topic. We employ our entire brain capacity by mapping out essential phrases or word images with visuals, drawings, and color. This personal development instrument is an effective strategy that is precisely aligned with the working of the brain and makes great use of our brain potential.

This amazing mind map tool can assist you in organizing Buzan mind map models and ideas by listing them one by one in a diagram layout. Furthermore, the collaboration tool will greatly simplify project planning and team development. Follow the instructions below to access this great resource.

It is critical that you understand that there are pros and downsides to mind mapping and that you can always utilize them to your advantage. From there he returned to England. After a spell as a teacher, he became editor of The International Journal of MENSA (1969-71), and continued a project to develop his understanding of how we can use our minds to best effect. He had already developed techniques that gave him a prodigious memory and an astonishing reading speed.

When I listened to the latest Expert Voices episode, "How to Be Creative," one person came to my mind again and again. He's a man I got to know well, and whose creativity I witnessed at close quarters many times.

I began using colours and images when note taking which eventually turned into the creation of mind mapping. Doing this would help me learn and remember more just by making small adjustments. After my BBC show aired from 1974-1989 I wrote a book called Use Your Head. This is where I began my journey into the memory world.

Half way through the interview, I found myself being questioned on Barry McGuigan. Tony asked me to recall from the top of my head, what I remember about him. I knew his nationality, his sport and that he was short however that was as much as I could remember (shocking for a sports writer). He then told me that he is a great physical athlete but when he retired, he worked on his mind through the use of memory training and mind mapping. Because Barry learnt how to train his mind, Tony said that he is one of the best commentators in boxing history.

Mind sport (particularly memory) requires Mens sana in corpore sano (healthy mind healthy body). The Japanese discovered that centuries ago. When a brain is trained mentally, all the physical skills improve and vice versa. A physical sport, for example the recent commonwealth games, what did all the gold medal winners have in common?

After sitting down with Tony for over half an hour and pretty much being convinced by at least three competitors, I have decided to give it a go. Yes, actually train my mind to be like (or at least similar) to those who I spent last Thursday and Friday with in Ilford. I will be documenting my training for the next two months to prove that it can be done and how beneficial it is to tap into as much of your brain as you possibly can.
