I have a computer hard drive that I need to replace. The owner of the computer doesn't remember which windows version she had. I connected her hard drive to my computer and I can see all her system files, but I cannot find any information on system (windows 7,8 or 10). Her operating system does't work so I cant use MSINFO32 and there is no sticker with that information on her computer. Is there a way to find this information?
The symptom is that the drive will be found, bus address 0 (correct), but unit type and version fields are only '????' I can tick the box, but can't open the drive ('No drive selected'). This is to the port on the PMU, and nothing is connected to the second port.
I have had some drives in the past not be detected like yours, however, if you know the drive type, version and address, set a blank project, and then try and connect, sometimes they will go online if these are set.
Alternative is to try and use an OP1S panel (6SE7090-0XX84-2FK0) to copy the parameters, but if there is some other issue stopping you connecting, then this may not work either. I suppose you could think of this panel as the AOP of the Masterdrives world
Thank you, I got the 3.1.3 firmware file, and it seems to be OK. Based on the date codes on my drive (Mar-98) and the release date of the 3.1.3 firmware (summer 1998), it seems the 3.0.0 was not around very long.

After speaking with our system admin, he says it has something to do with the server having an older version of SMB. This server is running "pam_smb-1.1.7-5", and the server is past what our admin says its end of life. I want to know how to tweak my command so that I can mount this server's drive to my computer.

I thought i had the perfect setup. My entire project is on google drive and from there i can work in kicad. Everyday i copy the working folder into a version as a backup(a bit silly i know, but since google drive controls every single file its hard to go back in time on all the files).
Sorry, this is an incoherent mess but i hope someone can help me get on track. I want to work from google drive. The project needs to be fully useable from google drive, meaning that if i use an other computer i can continue working on the project. It doesnt need strict version control since i am the only one working on the project, i just want to switch between my home computer and work computer.
The problem with using google drive instead of a proper version control tool is that you have no way of accessing an older version of the lib if you want to access an older version of the project (there is no way to link versions of one file to versions of other files. with svn or git the full repo can be checked out at the state of the project you want to work on)

One strategy for population suppression seeks to use gene drive to spread genes that confer conditional lethality or sterility, providing a way of combining population modification with suppression. Cleave and Rescue (ClvR) selfish genetic elements use Cas9 and guide RNAs (gRNAs) to disrupt endogenous versions of an essential gene while also including a Rescue version of the essential gene resistant to disruption. ClvR spreads by creating loss-of-function alleles of the essential gene that select against those lacking it, resulting in populations in which the Rescue provides the only source of essential gene function. As a consequence, if function of the Rescue, a kind of Trojan horse now omnipresent in a population, is condition dependent, so too will be the survival of that population. To test this idea, we created a ClvR in Drosophila in which Rescue activity of an essential gene, dribble, requires splicing of a temperature-sensitive intein (TS-ClvRdbe ). This element spreads to transgene fixation at 23 C, but when populations now dependent on Ts-ClvRdbe are shifted to 29 C, death and sterility result in a rapid population crash. These results show that conditional population elimination can be achieved. A similar logic, in which Rescue activity is conditional, could also be used in homing-based drive and to bring about suppression and/or killing of specific individuals in response to other stimuli.
