Hi Afzee,

I didnt mean that they will be interact with us; instead, I suggested
a parallel session for them exclusively (at the seminar hall) to share
their ideas within themselves on recruitment, employee retention,
business development and projecting India as a superpower in Search in
the near future.

If we let them alone, and give them an opportunity to interact for the
betterment of the industry, it'll help all of us.

Thanks
Ezhil

Its sure a great idea. But lets not forget the market. They are the raison de ethre for the whole industry and the camp should essentially focus on them. But sad we have not started the efforts for same. The way to reach them is not online. Press Release, display ad in AgencyFAQ etc we discussed. Anybody ?

I don't know the layout and format of the venue, but in some situations, it is appropriate for the audience members to stand up and identify themselves as belonging to a certain primary group, e.g. SEO, PPC, Advertising, Marketing, etc. They can then form break-out groups and possibly go into different break-out rooms or in different corners of the hall and have a brainstorm. Someone is writing up the ideas on a flip chart (easel pad or butcher's paper). They arrive at a consensus.  Then they all return to the large group and a spokesperson from each group presents their views.  Such an approach could be used to address a central theme such as "What challenges face your niche in 2009 and how do you intend to tackle them?"

To address another comment about a lack of registrations from companies, I recall that last year you had a few reps from PPC centric companies. Their primary interest is in getting exposure for their companies and a distant secondary interest is to send some staff so that they can benefit from the interactions and learn from others. They will also be looking for potential new hires.
