Hi,

since last week (i think when I installed Firefox 16) I have / had some problems with Searchbar Autosizer. Most of them are solved with the latest version 2.0.15, execpt one. I use the searchbar on the left side of my bookmark toolbar. When I open Firefox the searchbar has the configured size. When I click on a link on a website which opens a new window the searchbar increases to full size in the new window.
Is this a known problem or only a problem in my configuration?

This definitely isn't a known problem and I use the searchbar on the left.  If you could try and reproduce it on a clean profile that would be great.

Hi,

thanks for your answer.

Today I had time to test it. I started Firefox with a new profile. Then I only installed the Addon "Searchbar Autosizer". Furthermore I deactivated the option "
Open new tab instead of a new window". In the preferences of your addon I set the values for the width of the searchbar.
Then I opened a website. When I click on a link which opens a new window, the searchbar in the new window turns to full screen width (only the standard bookmarks are between end of searchbar and screen edge).

Have you any idea? I attached two screenshots.

Thanks, I can reproduce this issue.  I will look into it when I get time, unfortunately I am a little busy right now.   I hope to get it fixed before the next version is released.

I got some time today and poked at it.  It appears that there is a really strange firefox bug at work here.  I have opened https://bugzil.la/809741 to see what the mozilla people have to say.

Okay, this bug has been fixed https://bugzil.la/799348. It was a
regression and it is expected to be in 17.* versions of ff. If you
download the aurora build you can see that it works.
