Within the last 24 hours there is a thread in the code repositories issues tracker that is worth exposing to those beyond the group focused on making the machine run.

You need a lawyer to define the difference between what is provided by the user and what is explored upon the user's behalf. For the licensing, I don't believe this data should be public domain. This data exposes location and usage. If you wish to expose this data you should anonymize the data as much as necessary to demonstrate your correlation.

Hi John,

As we discussed, the idea is only to collect PII on an opt-in basis.  HTML5 locator info should be anonymized immediately to the Census Block level and should not be otherwise retained.

Data like carrier, monthly cost, etc. should all be opt-in and labeled clearly as such.  We’ll include an overall disclaimer describing exactly what we’re gathering and keeping, and why.

Thanks, -BB
