Welcome to the Seaman Log closed beta — thank you for joining!

Seaman Log is a logbook app built for seafarers: track rotations,
earnings, expenses, photos, and analytics. We're in closed beta and
your testing helps us catch bugs before public launch.

HOW TO INSTALL
────────────────────────────────────

1. Make sure you're signed into the Google account you joined this
   group with, on your Android phone.

2. Choose one of these links to enroll as a tester:

   On Android phone or tablet:
   https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.seamanlog.app

   On a computer or any web browser:
   https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.seamanlog.app

3. Tap "Become a tester" / "Accept invite".

4. Once enrolled, install Seaman Log from Google Play (search
   "Seaman Log" or follow the install link Google shows). It can take
   a few minutes — up to an hour — after opting in before the app
   appears, so don't worry if it's not instant.

5. Open the app and sign in with your email (magic link), Google, or
   Apple account.

IMPORTANT — CONFIRM YOU'RE ENROLLED (please don't skip)
────────────────────────────────────

For Google to officially recognize you as a tester — which we need in
order to launch publicly — please make sure:

1. You actually tapped "Become a tester" / "Accept" using one of the
   links above. Just being in this group is NOT enough — you must opt in.


2. The Play Store shows Seaman Log as installed (and "Update" when a new
   build lands). If it still shows a normal/greyed-out store page, your
   opt-in didn't go through — re-open the link and accept.


3. You KEEP the app installed and stay opted in for the next ~2 weeks.
   If you uninstall or leave the test, you stop counting.


Google requires a steady group of active, opted-in testers over a 14-day
period before it lets us release to everyone — so every properly-enrolled
tester genuinely moves us toward launch. 🙏

WHAT TO TEST
────────────────────────────────────

Try as many of these flows as you can. Testing across several sessions
over a few days catches more issues than one marathon. You don't have to
do all of these — just whatever fits your routine.

SIGN IN
- Email magic link (enter email, check your inbox, tap the link)
- Continue with Google
- Continue with Apple
- Sign out from Settings, then sign back in

CREATE TRIPS
- Tap "+" to create a new trip with vessel, role, dates, daily rate
- Save and reopen the trip — verify all data is correct
- Edit a trip and save changes
- Delete a trip from its detail page

PHOTOS AND FILES
- Attach a photo to a trip (camera or gallery)
- Attach a PDF or document to a trip
- Tap to view, then delete

EXPENSES AND EXTRA INCOME
- Add an expense to a trip (category, amount, currency, note)
- Add overtime / bonus / extra income to a trip
- Verify the trip total adjusts correctly

ANALYTICS
- Open the Analytics tab
- Verify charts show the trips you've added

MULTI-CURRENCY
- Settings → change your home currency
- Verify all trip totals recalculate
- Add a trip with a different currency and verify the conversion

BIOMETRIC LOCK
- Settings → enable Biometric lock
- Close the app fully
- Reopen — fingerprint or face unlock should appear
- Wait 60 seconds in background, return to app — should re-lock

OFFLINE MODE
- Turn off Wi-Fi and mobile data
- Open the app: cached trips should load
- Add a new trip offline
- Turn the internet back on — verify the new trip syncs

EXPORT
- Open a trip → Export as PDF
- Share via your default mail / Files app
- Open the PDF and verify trip details are correct

SETTINGS
- Update your display name
- Tap Privacy / Terms / About — they should open

WHAT'S NEXT
────────────────────────────────────

We roll out updates regularly. When a new build is available, Google Play
sends you an "Update available" notification. Just tap Update — your data
persists across versions.
