Dear all, In recent past years the trend of booking Field Engineers of MahaVitaran( JE,AE,DyEE) in case of an accident under section 304A of IPC is increased. All knows there is little attachment of the Field Engineers in such cases. Nowadays there is always a demand by the public (Often the disturbed elements in cases of Theft of energy or Arrears disconnections or some miscreants are forerunners)is put to the Police to book the Field Engineers like Junior Engineers, Assistant Engineers, Dy Executive Engineers and even the Executive Engineers, the Superintending Engineers also. In the lengthy process of Law , all others forget , but the concerned field Engineers gets tremendous mental stress, if so booked. Even after our office bearers attracts the attention of the upper police officers attention regarding the Engineers innocence and the provisions of law, Govt of Maharashtra notifications regarding MahaVitaran staff , the police department acts as helpless to Engineers. A strong stance in this regard is to be taken to protect our Field Engineers.
