Hi,
We are happy to announce that beginning from 1st January 2011, a radio show to inform, inspire and empower people with vision impairment in Orissa goes on airwaves. The show called ‘Eyeway Aloka Pathe Tuma Sathe’, would be a 15minute weekly show in Oriya language.
Project Eyeway of Score Foundation, Delhi, is a knowledge resource on living a fuller life with blindness/low-vision since 2004.
With a view to impact lives of visually impaired people right down to the grass roots in the state of Orissa, Score Foundation jointly with Open Learning Systems, Bhubaneshwar, launches ‘Eyeway Odisha’ with the beginning of year 2011. The radio show in Oriya would be backed up by Eyeway Odisha Helpdesk, where people can call/write for guidance & information on any aspect of life with vision impairment.
‘Eyeway Aloka Pathe Tuma Sathe’ can be heard on air on the following:
- Cuttack, MW, 972 Khz/308.6 metres
- Cuttack Vividh Bharati, MW, 1314Khz./228.3mts
- Sambalpur, MW, 945Khz/317.5 metres
- Jeypore, MW, 1467 Khz/204.5 metres
- Jeypore (Short wave), SW, 5040 KHz/60metres (evening frequency)
- Bhawanipatana, MW, 1206 Khz/248.8 metres
- Channel 8 of DD DTH (carrying broadcast of Cuttack primary channel)
The shows could also be heard online Monday onwards anytime on:
