Hi

I've updated the last of the outstanding PEAR libs in trunk, this includes DB and DB_DataObject to the latest versions, the full list is here:

And I got rid of PHP_CompatInfo, it seems irrelevant to the core code.

For me all the admin screens are working fine, please test, let me know and if all is fine I will release it as 1.0.5.  Someone wrote in to mention a problem with the Navigation module, it wasn't a ticket or sent to this group so I'm afraid I've lost track of the email.

Please have a look at plans for 1.1 http://trac.seagullproject.org/milestone/1.1

The main feature here will be moving to MDB2 which has superseded DB some time ago.  For this integration (you can see the work done to date here http://trac.seagullproject.org/browser/branches/integrating-mdb2) a fair bit of the core SQL handler code will have to be rewritten as MDB2 is hardly compatible with DB, this may not suit some users, but they have the option of sticking with 1.0.5.  Another key part of the MDB2 upgrade will be dropping support for sequences.  There is tons of code to make sequences work, but as 98% of us use only MySQL it's unnecessary.

Thanks to nic.at GmbH for sponsoring these latest rounds of updates.

cheers

Hi Henry

Thanks for the feedback, my guess it the problem is at the MySQL level.  Can you attach var/install.log and provide the version of MySQL you are using?  Also pls confirm you are using trunk, I just updated the version no. to make this more clear.

A fresh installation and allowing seagull to create the db are essential for this kind of test.

cheers

Demian

Attached install.log
MySQL version 5.1.67
I checked out the source code from http://svn.seagullproject.org/svn/seagull/branches/integrating-mdb2
Yes, it is a fresh installation for testing only.

Hi Henry

You need to checkout from trunk, the mdb2 branch is broken, it's a work in progress.

Also 5.1 for MySQL is very old, I think the syntax for creating tables was different in that version, SGL code was updated a few months ago to support the more modern syntax.

cheers Demian
