join SeaGL PR/outreach effort

would you like to help with SeaGL outreach?

This year we need extra effort in order to promote changes due to being a virtual conference. That effort needs to be ongoing. For instance, the CfP will go out soon and we can now accept speakers from all over the world ( or even the space station ).

We also want to keep a strong focus on the pacific northwest, so we will need extra effort to reach out to other local groups and companies.

Three immediate ways of joining the effort ( aside from promoting SeaGL in your personal circles ) are:

* join the outreach committee

* become a SeaGL ambassador to another organization

* become an ambassador to SeaGL from another organization

The outreach commitee needs to meet every couple of weeks. Meetings will be held testing a variety of FLOSS conferencing tools such as Big Blue Button, jitsi and mumble. We will endeavor to have phone access to the meetings as well.

The Seattle GNU/Linux conference (SeaGL) grassroots technical conference will be virtual this year on Friday and Saturday, November 13th and 14th, 2020
