Hi All,
With the realization that this message comes quite late, this year's
(virtual) [Seattle GNU/Linux conference] is fast approaching, like in
less than a week... Friday and Saturday, November 13th and 14th.
Per usual, attendance is free, registration is optional, and we have a
bunch of volunteers putting together a homebrew platform in an attempt
to mimic the hallway track feel of an event, using Free tools.
Aside from our stellar [program] of 35 speakers and 4 keynotes, we are
also trying to add to our [#TeaGLToasts] video and would love to see
some more pre-event submissions!
Additionally, we are still looking for **talk moderators** and **help
desk volunteers**. Volunteering at SeaGL is pretty straightforward
this year and we have two more trainings, _Monday, November 9th,
12-1pm PT_ and _Tuesday, November 10th, 5-6pm PT_. You can read more
about the [volunteer roles here] and [signup via this form], or email
[
parti...@seagl.org].
Per usual, a number of fantastic [sponsors] have joined the effort
thus far. That said, we are of course still accepting supporters...
Again, I am aware of the lateness of the hour, but this year is pretty
strange in many ways and I want to make it clear just how excited we
are for our eighth year despite!
None of this would be possible without the many many MANY hours
volunteered by the SeaGL organizers before the event. Seeing a bunch
of happy attendees makes it all worthwhile, so please consider joining
next Friday and Saturday for our eighth year.
Thank you very much for your time,
~ Salt
