Hello friends,

We wanted to remind you of a few SeaGL 2021 things. First, the Call
for Proposals[1] is open through August 5th. As always, we welcome
first-time speakers and refined presenters alike. If you're looking
for help with your proposal, we will be holding office hours where you
can get feedback. Stay tuned for more!

You may be wondering when and where SeaGL 2021 will be. You can join
us on **November 5th and 6th**. We have decided it will be on _The
Internet!_ again for 2021. Last year’s _first-ever virtual SeaGL_ was
a great success, and we loved how the remote format brought SeaGL to a
wider audience. Although we absolutely miss flocking together, we’re
confident that we can deliver another delightful connected experience
this year!

SeaGL can't happen without our wonderful volunteers, _which could be
you_! We are currently seeking to bring on leaders for the Volunteers
and Code of Conduct committees. The Outreach and Partnerships
committees each have open co-chairs. Being a tech conference, we also
welcome any DevOps/sysadmin folks and Ruby developers. If you want to
help with these efforts or any other area, please email
parti...@seagl.org

If your employer is interested in sponsoring SeaGL, we are accepting
applications for _virtual space_ in our expo hall and have a variety
of additional experiences open for support. Our sponsorship prospectus
will be publicly available soon. Watch our sponsors page[2] for
details, or send an email to parti...@seagl.org

We are really looking forward to sharing some french fries (and tea!)
with you in November. In the meantime, join our text chat Community on
Matrix at #SeaGL:seattlematrix.org or #SeaGL on Libera.Chat (note that
we have moved IRC networks). As always, the _SeaGL Code of Conduct_
applies to participation in all SeaGL spaces, physical and otherwise.
We take the CoC seriously in order to keep SeaGL welcoming and safe
for all of us.
