The sex industry has no place in residential neighborhoods and all
those who feel likewise should call write or meet with their Town of
Hempstead elected officials and have them look at the Billy Dean web
site to see the type of “cabaret” that is envisioned. The site
promotes “dancers” for off site parties and the house behind the
proposed location was also purchased by the culb.
The protests will be every Saturday morning 10:30-noon at the Sunrise
Highway & Oakland Ave location that used to be Franks Steak House.
If you are at all concerned about the sex industry getting a foot hold
where your children travel daily then we need to let our elected
officials know.
Officials that need to know your opinion include but are not limited
to;

Angie M. Cullin of Freeport is the 5th district council member.
The Fifth Council District covers all of Barnum Island, Bellmore,
Lido Beach, Merrick and Point Lookout; and parts of Freeport, North
Bellmore, North Merrick, Seaford and Wantagh.

Great NEWS!
The Zoning Board agreed to reopen the cases 1418 and 1419 a special
exception and variances at 3500 Sunrise Highway (Strip Clu address).
The meeting is on May 19th at 9:30am. We need to have everyone there.
I know it's a work day but we need people to show up to voice their
opinions. Also we need to continue mailing the Zoning Board for the
next 6 weeks right up until the meeting. I will give you the Zoning
Board names so the letters can be directed to a person or group.
Please help get the word out and drum up attendance for this meeting!
