Hi,

today I tried to install the seafile-server_1.5.1_pi.tar.gz. Unfortunately  ./setup-seafile.sh stops because the were problems with ccnet-init.

server name:        test
server ip/domain:   test
server port:        10001
seafile data dir:   /opt/haiwen/seafile-data
seafile port:       12001
httpserver port:    8082

If you are OK with these configuration, press [ENTER] to continue.

Generating ccnet configuration in /opt/haiwen/ccnet...

./setup-seafile.sh: Zeile 382: /opt/haiwen/seafile-server-1.5.1/seafile/bin/ccnet-init: file or directory not found

Error occured during setup.
Please fix possible problems and run the script again.

I'm running debian wheezy .

uname -a => "Linux raspberrypi 3.6.11+ #403 PREEMPT Tue Apr 2 22:48:13 BST 2013 armv6l GNU/Linux"
file ccnet-init => "ccnet-init: ELF 32-bit LSB executable, ARM, version 1 (SYSV), dynamically linked (uses shared libs), for GNU/Linux 2.6.26, BuildID[sha1]=0x4052589a5e1fce3847998d523980a16a5bb272fb, stripped"

All liberies are in the right paths.

What's the problem with the ccnet-init?

Greetings,

Tobias

Hello,
same problem here.
Fresh out-of-the-box installation with the raspberry server version 1.8.5 and 2.0.2

Did you installed the most popular Raspian distribution on your pi? We have been building and testing seafile server for Raspberry pi on Raspian from the very beginning.

Regards.

Same problem here, running the stable Raspbian.

I tried to install version 1.8.5 before, it was exactly the same error. Any idea what might be wrong?

Does Raspberry Pi have different architectures? Like on PC, you can't run 64bit executable on 32bit machine.

In which file and location are these settings being stored ?

server name:        test
server ip/domain:   test
server port:        10001
seafile data dir:   /opt/haiwen/seafile-data
seafile port:       12001
httpserver port:    8082

In case I'd like to change something I don't want to run the setup routine again.

Ok, this is the part I know. Thought there was one single place where those informations are stored.
Thanks, Lingtao for the quick response !

I have the same Problem instaling Seafile 2.0.2 on my RPi running Raspbian. its the Line 382 throwing the error. I tried deleting the ccnet-init file after I saw it was empty. Did you make it work already?

I deleted the ccnet-init file and created a new one using nano (empty file). Now i can pass this Line but the seaf-server-init now throws the same error now but this file is not empty. What can I do?

success: i renamed the seaf-server-init in seaf-server-init.old and created a new empty file unsing nano. the setup script now finished without any error.

Strange enough but I cannot find the seafile.conf in my installation ! Not even the seafile-date folder can be found. ^^
Err...since my installation is running and I am able to use Seafile it must be stored somewhere, but I cannot find it at all.
My directory:

/home
 -- seafile
   -- ccnet
   -- logs
   -- seafile-server
   -- seahub-data

Whereelse could it be located ? Now I'm reall wondering... ^^

Hi,

The files "ccnet-init" and "seaf-server-init" are used by the "setup-seafile.sh" script to generate "ccnet.conf" and "seafile.conf". They should not be empty (see the attached screenshot), and you should not try to modify them.

I suggest you uncompress the tarball again, and make sure ccne-init and seaf-server-init are not empty before continuing.

Regards.

Hi Shuai Lin !

Both, the ccnet-init and the seaf-server-init, are located in the "bin" directory and are not empty. But what I'm searching for is the "seafile.conf" which I cannot found. The "ccnet.conf" is located in the "ccnet" directory and is not empty. Only the "seafile.conf" is missing although it must have been created during the setup since my Seafile installation is working.

Hello,

i got the same error during the setup on my ARMv6:

/seafile/seafile-server-2.0.3/seafile/bin/ccnet-init: No such file or directory

Error occured during setup.
Please fix possible problems and run the script again.

How to solve it ?

Can you provide the detailed model of your Raspberry Pi?

Hello,

it is not a Raspberry Pi  but a "Medion NAS P89630" with FFP (fonz fun_plug) installed.
It has a Dual Core ARM PLX-NAS7820 750 MHz CPU.

I think the CPU is 64bit, but our package for Pi is 32bit.

Ah okay, thanks.
I think you´re right with your suggestion.
In the technical documentation of the PLX-NAS7820 i found the 64-bit internal bus as part of the cpu.
Do i have to compile the source package now for ARM x64 on my own or how get i started ?

EDIT:
I found the link for building the server, i think i start with that:
